Radiation Heat Fluxes

Covered in Section 12.2, and listed out in table 12.1, the four radiation heat fluxes are the components that make up the energy transfer by way of radiation.

These components are indeed heat fluxes and as such have units of . Listed out they are:

• emissive power, , is the radiation emitted by a surface.
• irradiation, , is the radiation incident on a surface.
• radiosity, , is the radiation leaving a surface.
• net radiative flux, , is the net radiation leaving a surface.
